A little bit of Hope and Peter

Peter parve confuso, mortificato, quasi dispiaciuto. "E allora cosa significa?"

Hope stood for a moment motionless, with his eyes glued to the horizon, stuck in those hills that ended up somewhere, and perhaps even among them there would never be an end, even though she was no longer able to continue to Peter rules that damn game that had begun many years before. Among them nothing was easy.
She stared at him for a moment and peter took her hand and squeezed it with all the strength he had left . " You're probably the only thing , the only one that was worth me to do all this "
Hope felt a pang of pain lacerarle the heart.
He wanted everything that had happened in those last two years were swept away . He had always thought ,since childhood  , that would be enough love to run a story, but he had learned that sometimes people are not able to really give you what you want, but that does not mean do not love you , just that do not do it the way you prefer .
"I think after all, you've been , you and only you , that love true and strong "
Hope looked down for a moment and then go back to look at him . He looked tired , short hair due to the treatment and those eyes that reminded infested heather moorland , deep seas and unexplored deserts . Those gray irises that made her remember who she once was .
"I love you ," he whispered Hope floor with eyes full of tears, " But I know that will not help us . Will not erase the mistakes and the bad that we made . All the hatred that we pulled on us. 'm Sorry that your son will grow without a father , because instill was a great man "
Peter laughed and coughed . He had become so fragile and weak "So I'm just going to die really "
Hope smiled at him with tears in his eyes, " You would have been a good father, he 'd teach things right . I believed in you "
"You hurt " Then stared at her intensely and both were suspended in that moment forever.
"I do not mind dying , I mean it happens sooner or later , I only regret not being able to do something nice for yourself , not being able to make you happy "
Hope rested her head on his shoulder.
" You did it , you made me the happiest woman "
They stared for a long instant as the sun in the sky , so clear now .
Hope started up the car, dazed and confused, " Peter ? " She muttered, staring at the horizon while he did not let go of her face with eyes .
" You've done it now. I love you and will never change , because it is something that is beyond my strong will, but that does not mean you forgive , I do not think that will ever happen "
Peter looked confused , mortified , almost sorry . " So what does this mean? "
Hope smiled melted by the love he felt for him "It means that I chose to be honest , the truth is that I love you , but I 've done too bad to be able to say that all is well, because in fact it is not so "
